Welcome to my Web site!Hello! My name is Elmore Hammes. Over the last forty-plus years, I have lived in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and now am back in Indiana. I have primarily worked in the computer industry performing software development, and more recently with Lulu.com, a Self-Publishing company. I am currently working directly with authors wishing to publish their books, either through self-publishing or traditional publishing. I mostly perform editing and formatting of manuscripts, and creating Kindle editions of their print books for those authors not wanting to learn the intricacies of properly formatting a book for e-readers.. When not working on other author's books, I write fiction - short stories and novels - in a variety of genres. I have had short stories published in a variety of online and print publications. Some of these include The First Line, Espresso Fiction, joyful! and the national Catholic magazine St. Anthony Messenger. I have also published several humorous articles in the now defunct on-line satiric web-site The Daily Fortnight. I have self-published seven novels to date (links to the left and below for those). These are all now available in Kindle editions on Amazon as well as in print form from a variety of brick and mortar bookstores and on-line book stores. When not writing, I enjoy reading, playing sand volleyball, participating in Community Theatre at Anderson's Mainstage Theatre, and going on mission trips to Mexico to help build homes. |
